OUR HISTORY
Rockwell Dance Academy was founded in August of 2013 by legendary wife and husband B-Girl Honey Rockwell (NYC) and B-Boy Orko (L.A.).
Meeting in 1995 in New York while doing the 1st ever Hip Hop theatrical show "Jam on the Groove" (an off Broadway production) they have been together since and brought their talents and love of Breaking and dance to Georgia.
Rockwell Dance Academy was created to continue their passion for Breaking and to share their experiences and knowledge of dance with the next generation.
Expanding their legacy Honey & Orko were inducted into the Breaking Hall of Fame in NYC in November of 2022.

OUR HISTORY
Rockwell Dance Academy was established in Aug of 2013 by pioneering husband and wife couple, B-girl Honey Rockwell(Nyc) and B-Boy Orko(L.A) who actually met in 1995 in NY doing the 1st ever Hip Hop theatrical show called Jam on the Groove which was an off Broadway production. Who knew they would be married 15 years later, move to Ga and open up their own studio.
They established the studio to continue their passion for Breaking and to share their experiences and knowledge of the dance with the next generation and to leave behind a legacy.
Just recently, Honey & Orko in November of 2022 were inducted into the Breaking Hall of Fame in NYC.

B-GIRL HONEY ROCKWELL
Born and raised in the South Bronx, legendary B-Girl Honey Rockwell began gymnastics and dancing at the Bronx Academy of Dance at the age of 7. In her teen years she excelled competing in high school and club gymnastics, placing in competitions nationwide. She began Breaking in 1994 and has been involved with the evolution of this foundational Hip Hop dance ever since!
Honey’s first influence was fellow dancer, Louie “New Wave” (RIP). Louie encouraged Honey to bring her skills as a gymnast to the art form of Breaking. Louie also introduced Honey to the Hip Hop dance pioneers and legends of GhettOriginal Dance Productions.
Honey was invited to perform in their legendary Hip Hop off Broadway musical “Jam on the Groove”. This show debuted in NYC and went on to tour nationally and internationally. Honey has also been featured performer in “Madhattan” – a Hip Hop theater production based in Las Vegas. Honey also appeared in the movie “Mannequin 2”, has been a guest on the Sharon Osbourne Show, as well performed on MTV’s New Year’s Eve 2000 and at the VH1 Fashion Awards with Cuba Gooding Jr and Kid Rock. She was an active member of both The Rock Steady Crew and Seven Gems.
She has represented both Tru Essencia and B-Girl Mafia crews. Along with the the Seven Gems Crew, she participated in a US government sponsored tour teaching Hip Hop dance and performing in Brazil. Honey produced and distributed the first B-Girl dance video and continues to contribute to the culture by performing and teaching workshops and master classes to the youth worldwide. In 2008 she was a dancer and actress in the video game Grand Theft Auto IV.
Honey Rockwell was an active member of the Rock Steady Crew, Seven Gems, and co-founder of Rock da Floor Productions. Recently, along with the Seven Gems Crew, she participated in a U.S. government sponsored tour teaching hip-hop dance and performing in Brazil. Honey Rockwell produced and distributed the first B-Girl dance video.
In 2013, Honey and her legendary B-Boy husband, Orko, opened up Rockwell Dance Academy in Acworth, Georgia. They are so excited and blessed to be able to contribute to the culture by performing and teaching workshops, as well as master classes to the youth worldwide.
